From a wreath Argent and Azure (Dark Blue), a compass rose Or charged with a terrestrial globe Proper gridlined and fimbriated of the third.


MOTTO

A scroll Argent, edged Azure (Dark Blue) inscribed "READY TO SERVE THE PACIFIC" Gules.


SUPPORTERS

Upon a wreath of palm Vert two swords in saltire, points upward Proper.

Symbolism

SHIELD

The shield displays the distinct bands and colors associated with the U.S. Coast Guard. The anchor symbolizes sea power. The red ring alludes to the "Pacific Ring of Fire," the area of operations. The gauntlet grasping the anchor emphasizes the Coast Guard Reserve's enforcement of maritime authority and counterdrug effort within the Pacific Rim. Black denotes constancy. The base signifies stability of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve Unit to support the PACOM mission. The star indicates PACOM's vision to develop the Coast Guard Reserve into the Combatant Commander unit, "to prepare for tomorrow's challenges."


CREST

The compass rose represents direction and deployment, indicating the wide scope of PACOM's planning for the Coast Guard Reserve Unit. The globe upon the compass rose symbolizes the various geographical locations of the units.


SUPPORTERS

The palm fronds represent honor and achievement. The crossed swords symbolizethe cooperation and teamwork of the senior leaders while commanding a Reserve workforce.


MOTTO

Red, white and blue are the national colors, also used traditionally by the Coast Guard. The motto, "READY TO SERVE THE PACIFIC," highlights the effort to be ready to deploy.


SEAL

The coat of arms as blazoned in full color on a white circular field, edged with a narrow gold band within a dark blue designation band, edged gold roped border and bearing the name "COAST GUARD RESERVE UNIT" at top and at base between two discs "USPACOM," all gold.
